Our Heather designed this beautiful cowl . This cowl can be worked up in any worsted to bulky yarn. The contrasting color brings out the texture of the stitches.  The photo is made with 2 contrasting skeins of Berroco Mercado.  Pattern is available at the shop.

       Vincent Sweater
For your favorite little one!!!  A child's sweater from sizes 3 months to 8 years.  We used Sublime DK yarn with a size 6 needle.

  Easy Fingerless Gloves

Designed by Lisa Wilder,  A very easy project -- great for a beginner crocheter.  One skein would make this project with some left over

       Sandy Slouch Hat        

This stylish hat is designed by Rebecca Langford.  It's crocheted with 1 skein of Berroco Ultra Alpaca and embellished with one of our large selection of buttons.  



We named her Octavia and she has been a hit here at the shop -- fun project to crochet, using short rows and hyperbolic crochet techniques in addition to the usual shaping.  She is made with 1 skein of Berroco Vintage and 2 skein of Malabrigo Rios.

This wonderful crocheted beanie was made with 1 full skein of Universal Yarn Deluxe Worsted Tweed Superwash including the pompom


  TCG Taos Wrap
Another crocheted creation by Heather - Made with 2 skeins of Universal Yarn Major with plenty left over for fingerless mitts or a hat.  Embellished with buttons, this wrap makes for a warm fall garment.
  Silverleaf Shawl
A shop and customer favorite is the Silverleaf Shawl by designer Lisa Hannes.  Made with Malabrigo Dos Tierras Yarn, this project works up quickly and great pattern for a beginner.

    Baby Surprise Jacket
Elizabeth Zimmerman's timeless child's sweater, knit with Malabrigo Worsted yarn.  The pattern is available through Schoolhouse Press.
   Imbiana Cowl
Made with 2 skeins of Berroco Quecha, this easy cowl is a wonderful accent to your wardrobe. 
It will be beach time soon!!!!  This wonderful wrap will be great for cool summer evenings.  Made with 1 skein of our new Zauberball Cotton, it is a shop pattern FREE with the purchase of yarn.  The name is Dutch for Mussel!!!!

Ella Rae Long Best One of our knitters, Kathleen, made this beautiful vest from Ella Rae Mega yarn.  Add a beautiful button and you have a gorgeous addition to your wardrobe!!

A visit from afar!!!!

LauraLaura, from Churchmouse Yarns & Tees on Bainbridge Island, Washington, was on vacation with her husband on the East Coast.  While in Maine, she googled "yarns shops in Camden" and came right to our door.  Laura joined us on Tuesday evening for "Open Crafters Night and Wednesday Sit & Knit group.  We are delighted she stopped by!!!  Have a safe trip home!!!
UFO Weekend at "The Goat" October 12th & 13th, 2013

"Just take those UFO's off the shelf" and have fun!!  Two of our "Goat Team", Carrie & Sara, were at the shop on the weekend helping you take those unfinished objects and turning them into completed projects.  Below on the left is Misty, her unfinished sweater became a vest.  On the right is Becca, her unfinished rippled shawl became a stylish kerchief.  So don't give up on those UFO's!!

"I Love Yarn Day" October 11th, 2013

I love Yarn day
A big turnout for "I love Yarn Day" at the shop - couldn't fit them all in the picture!!!!  A great time and great discussion.  Some of our summer friends in this picture are leaving for the winter very soon.  We wish them a safe and happy winter. 
Gail's Spectra Scarf

One of "The Goat" knitters, Gail, is so proud of her new Spectra Scarf. Gail is a lover of animals and country living.  She has worked with local Alpaca's shearing and taking care of them.  A beautiful project completed after she took the Spectra Class.  Way to go Gail!!!!!

Guest Author, Dixie Swanson, at the Cashmere Goat - September 2013

We thank our guest author, Dixie Swanson (center), for joining our Book Club for Crafter's Meeting on September 14th. We had a wonderful turnout for the meeting. Here are a few of the attendees. Dixie spoke of her writing career and the ins-and-outs of publishing and editing. Her series of "The Accidental President Trilogy” is a wonderful read. Her character "Abby Adams” is a woman to be reckoned with and definitely has the "right stuff” to handle being President of the United States.

2013 Cashmere Goat Knitting Cruise

Felted BagGail, one of our knitters, took our "Felted Bag" class and made this gorgeous bag as a gift for her sister. She used 2 colors of Cascade 220. What a beautiful gift for a loved one.

Audra is shown in size medium with 5 skeins of Berroco Ultra Alapaca, green. It has wonderful drape qualities and is shaped nicely thru the waist.

Chele Cardigan with Cerus Scarf

The Chele cardigan is made with Berocco Remix. This stunning sweater has a jacket look and is perfect for spring and fall cool weather. The Cerus scarf is made with Manos Serena, 2 skeins, 1 solid, 1 variegated, knitted in the linen stitch. Serena has wonderful drape qualities and is available in many colors.

       Team Hot Flash!

Team Hot Flash!Did you ever want to try something terrifying saying "this should be fun" but really not knowing what to expect?  These 4 gutsy women  did just that, at the US Toboggan Championships held in Camden every year.  Riding down the chute thinking "OMG what did I get myself into" was just one thought they had.  Second from right is one of our knitters, Diane (with her family), who has a sense of adventure, decided knitting is safer.

      Felting Galore!

Felting Galore!Put six women in a room. Give them a foam pad, some wool, sharp needles and voila! This picture shows the result of a previous needle felting class run by Sue (the Staz) Stasiowski.


NecklaceKate picked up knitting in a New York minute! She made an adorable necklace which she wore proudly.

We opened our doors Memorial Day weekend 2011 and met an amazing group of people from all over the states and beyond. We want to share with you some of the finished projects of people who have spent time in our shop and who we have gotten to know.
