We want to share a story of this delightful man – Meet C.B. Spady
He is one of our many loyal customers
At the age of 15, he went to a rummage sale and was given a double knit sweater and wore it until the end of high school.  Jump ahead 4 decades, he wanted another one.  When asking knitters, he was told it couldn’t be done.  So, he decided to do it himself.  Walking thru a big box store 2 years ago looking for earbuds, he saw yarn and said "I can figure this out”

He taught himself how to knit by using videos on You Tube and 8 months later he made several scarves, mittens and a Knitting Pure & Simple top down pullover sweater.  He modified it from there to make 2, first one was too small and gave away.  He finally made one for his size and that’s what we are seeing in the picture. He made one slightly smaller than the other, put it inside the bigger one and joined the collar, cuffs and bottom hem with ribbing.  The socks are his own pattern that he created, they are toe-up with German Short Rows.  He is a DIY expert and loves to figure things out.  He is an EMT here in Camden.

There is nothing that wears like a pair of homemade socks.  They are warmer, sturdier and you can make them as colorful and fancy as you want.  You can have a party in your shoes.  You can make socks for your significant other, your children of all ages, as gifts for the holidays or just treat yourself AND they are machine washable.  There are many patterns on Ravelry for socks, and many are FREE.  There are sock knit-a-longs, mystery sock KAL’s, sock clubs, Sock Anonymous and crochet socks.  We even have a Sock Club here at the shop that meets once a month.  See Group link above.
